Some men, women and even adolescents develop fat accumulation around their face and neck. With increasing age, these fat deposits appear as saggy jowls or a double chin. Frequently, other parts of the body are not affected - only a roundness of the face and heaviness in the neck region. Exercise and weight loss, as a rule, will not diminish these areas of fat deposit.

With the advent and perfection of Tumescent liposuction, we now have a method to remove these fat deposits permanently. The result is a more youthful appearance that remains beneficial for one's entire life. Those under the age of forty, even teens, tend to benefit the most because of the elasticity of their skin. Those over the age of 40 may require an accompanying neck lift or chin implant to improve their appearance. If significant weight gain should occur following liposuction, these enlarged fat deposits would occur proportionately in other parts of the body and not the face and neck since most fat cells would have been removed at
the time of the original liposuction procedure.

The fat is removed by surgical suction through small strategically placed incisions, measuring l/4" in length. These small incisions are hidden under the earlobes bilaterally, and under the chin.

There is minimal risk when this remarkable method of facial and neck contouring is performed by a skilled and experienced cosmetic surgeon. This one-hour procedure is performed on an outpatient basis with local anesthesia and intravenous sedation. Patients experience minimal discomfort for only a day or two before returning to work in 5-7 days. A contour garment is worn during this post-operative period and early exercise is recommended. Most of the swelling and bruising subsides within 7-l0 days. Patients are presentable as the swelling and bruising disappear during this time period. The results are EXTREMELY DRAMATIC, especially for those who have tried for years to reduce the fullness of their face and neck with weight loss and exercise.
