Everything You Need to Know About Your Cosmetic Surgery
NINE THINGS NOT TO DO BEFORE COSMETIC SURGERY
  1. Do not take aspirin two weeks prior to surgery. Aspirin thins the blood and may cause unnecessary bleeding.

  2. Stop taking vitamin E and other vitamins one week prior to surgery.

  3. Stop all herbal supplements two weeks prior to your surgery.

  4. Don't get a haircut. Longer hair is easier for the surgeon to work with.

  5. Discontinue active vitamin C products and Retin-A and glycolic acid prior to surgery.

  6. Do not diet prior to surgery. Eat normally.

  7. Do not color your hair before surgery.

  8. If possible, no smoking for 10 days prior to surgery. Smoking is associated with delayed healing.

  9. No alcohol for 24 hours prior to surgery.
