THE DAY OF YOUR SURGERY
When you come to the Johnson Cosmetic Surgery Center on the day of your operation you will change into a gown in the pre-operative area.
Next, pre-operative photographs are taken. After an interview with the anesthetist (CRNA), you will meet our talented operating room staff.
Next, you will be taken to the operating room and placed on a table and intravenous fluids will be started through a vein in your arm. This will allow the administration of fluids to keep you properly hydrated and provide a route for sedation medication. Sticky pads are placed on your chest to monitor your heart. A blood pressure cuff is put on your arm.
After surgery you will sit up on the operating table and transfer yourself with assistance to a comfortable recliner. You will be taken to a post-op recovery room.
When fully awake and taking fluids, with vital signs stabilized, your IV will be disconnected and you are ready to go home in the company of a friend..
